In celebrating the 250th birthday of the “greatest country on Earth,” it stands to reason that those who have helped maintain the nation’s freedoms and safety – both at home and abroad – be honored as well.
That is why the Union County Sheriff’s Office decided to organize an appreciation dinner on Thursday, June 25, inside the Haralson Memorial Civic Center to honor active-duty military, veterans, active and retired law enforcement, and personnel with local EMS, fire and E-911.
