Mrs. Flora Leona Beaver age 89 of Briar Cove Rd. Morganton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday August 29, 2026 in the Pruitt Health Care following an extended illness. Mrs. Beaver was born on June 5, 1937 in Blairsville, GA., the daughter of the late William Wade Tilson and the late Lola Bell Tilson. Flora was a lifelong resident of Union and Fannin Counties. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved growing flowers, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She loved children dearly, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Waco Beaver, a daughter, Lannette Cole, a brother, Louis Tilson and a sister, Bonnie Watson. Mrs. beaver was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Beaver are two daughters and sons in law, Betty and Greg Fernandez of Dalton, Michelle Lynn Beaver and Phillip Miller of Dahlonega, four sons and two daughters in law, Zendle and Norma Beaver of Morganton, Cecil and Jackie Beaver of Morganton, Wendell Beaver of Morganton, Elmer Beaver of Ellijay, one sister, Marie Tilson of Ellijay, two brothers, Roy Tilson of Blairsville, Royce Tilson of Copperhill, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 2, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Rex Mashburn officiating. Special music will be presented by Angel Mashburn. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Ray Beaver, Raymond Beaver, Steven Beaver, Isaiah Dotson, Maddox Hughes, David Newton and Jeff Barnes. Interment will follow in the Beaver Family Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-9:00 pm.
