An Aug. 5 article titled “Habitat’s Panther House 3 ready for family move-in” featured a photo of Robin Jones presenting a “Bless Our Home” cross stitch to new Habitat homeowner Dylan Wimberly.

The caption identified Jones as the creator of the piece. However, Jones contacted the newspaper following publication to clarify that the cross stitch was a community effort.

“This cross stitch piece was started in my shop last August on ‘World Cross Stitch Day,’” Jones said. “It was a piece that many stitchers in the community worked on through the year when they visited the shop. Some put in just a few stitches and some an entire motif, but they all knew that it was a gift for the next Habitat Home recipient.

“This piece was prayed over and then presented to Dylan and his family as a welcome from the entire stitching community ‘neighborhood.’”
