Mrs. Barbara Ann DeRoxtro age 79 of Ashley Lane Blairsville passed away peacefully on Saturday August 29, 2026 in Sonshine Manor following an extended illness. Mrs. DeRoxtro was born on October 10, 1946 in Middletown, OH., the daughter of the late Robert Margerum and the late Bethel Schultz Margerum. Barbara was a loving and caring mother, sister and grandmother. She loved painting, reading, attending the Senior Center, Oasis and most of all her Friday night get togethers with all of her sidekicks. She was truly a friend to everyone. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard DeRoxtro in 2025 and a son, Robert Fredrick Koetter. Barbara was of the Christian faith.

Surviving Barbara are one daughter, Lori Ann Koetter of Blairsville, one son and daughter in law, Richard and Deborah DeRoxtro of Brooksville, FL., one brother, Robert Margerum of Boca Raton, FL., three grandchildren, Regina, Jeffery and Leah, all of her friends in Blairsville, many other relatives and friends also survive.
As per Barbara’s wishes, no services are planned. The family will have a private service later. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to the Union County Senior Center, which was very dear to her heart in her memory.
